Torchea, a 6th grader aspires to be an entrepreneur, “I want to open my own store”, she says. Her teacher said “[she] will make a positive difference in the world if she’s given an opportunity.”

An opportunity for young students in ages 4- 14 to explore the breadth of the wonderful world of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM)…

An opportunity that thousands of children in North Carolina have experienced and rave about:

“I learned how to build”: a KG student.
“I learned that programming can move someone or something”: 1st grader.
“I learned that a capacitor stores electricity”: a 2nd grader.
“I learned about gravity, strength, and stability, and why it’s important to have those things. I also learned about buildings bridges and A LOT more!”: a 3rd grader.
“I learned that air can go around round objects and continue in the same course it started”: a 4th grader.
“Compilers are like translators but for computers”: a 5th grader.
“I learned to program”: a 7th grader.

As for Torchea, she got the opportunity this summer to learn how to create websites and she made a website for her future store.
