“I have talked to a few very excited parents who want to get kids into STEM For Kids programs”, says Gaurav Sangal, STEM For Kids newest franchisee who is launching in Columbia South Carolina.

Gaurav has an extensive background in engineering and technology with a Masters in Electrical Engineering & an MBA. He has spent over 13 years working in STEM; many of those years in public safety communications. He understands what it takes to make and market mission critical systems to meet the communication needs of public safety and first responders.
While teaching technology and robotics to his daughter who is in kindergarten, Gaurav looked for local STEM programs and didn’t find anything. He astutely noticed that this was a gap that needed to be filled without missing a beat. Just like his contributions to the mission critical public safety, he started his search to contribute towards future readiness of our most precious assets, children; a mission critical enough to energize his entrepreneurial mind.
Gaurav decided to bring a quality STEM program to his community. He looked at a few franchises that provide robotics or programming but ultimately got interested in STEM For Kids. “In all my research, STEM For Kids was the only program that covered all the aspects of STEM curriculum. They cover mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, robotics, programming, game labs, website design, biomedical engineering and much more.”
The STEM For Kids’ approach and curricula for making STEM fun and real also appealed to Gaurav.
“Fun keeps the kids engaged, and Real makes them understand the real world concepts. That is the reason I decided to invest in STEM For Kids and open a franchise in Columbia, SC”, he said.

“Our comprehensive STEM enrichment programs in engineering, robotics, computer programming and entrepreneurship beautifully complement South Carolina’s STEM education initiatives. We look forward to serving the children and educators in SC. Gaurav’s franchise is the first key step in enabling that service; we wish the very best to Gaurav and his team”, said Moni Singh, the creator of STEM For Kids.
